CZK - Cascade Locks

I took a little road trip today out to the Columbia River Gorge. On a whim, I decided that Cascade Locks would be a good place to go. I've been there a few times, but have never really looked at the town in depth. My twin sister made the trip with me. We looked around the town and had a good time. Driving down the main drag, we passed an open field and wham it hit me. This was the Cascade Locks airport. As we came down the street, just passed the ball diamond we saw it. It was the official weather station known as KCZK or CZK or Cascade Locks obs tower.

I've seen most of the official obs towers in the metro area. This one was no different. It has no direct exposure to the river as it sits in a field surrounded by timber on three sides and a road on the fourth. I'm still trying to figure out why it has problems reporting some days. The power lines looked a little suspect when I really looked at them, maybe that's the problem. Maybe not. Oh Well. Enjoy.
